about Leigh

With over 20 years under her belt in marketing & publishing real-world experience both as an entrepreneur and in the corporate world, Leigh is not your fly-by-night marketer.

She got her start by designing a monthly newsletter for a sports organization at the age of 16 which fueled her writing career, where she published over 200 articles online and in print. Her desire to do it better pushed her to work almost every position in publishing. In 2002 she went back to school and expanded her knowledge by completing a Digital Media Design program in British Columbia. This led to her launching a digital magazine and her web design business, the first edition of Rise Media + Design Inc. She went back to the corporate world in 2004 to learn the basics of business and worked her way into the digital media director position of a publishing house.

In 2012, the publishing world took a hit and Leigh was downsized and instead of jumping back into the 9-5, she saw this as an opportunity to resurrect Rise Media + Design Inc and run her own business. In January of 2013 she declared her commitment and hasn’t looked back since.

Where does a virtual Coffee Q&A styled Power Hour with Leigh take place?

A Virtual Coffee Q&A-styled Power Hour with Leigh takes place from the comfort of your own office! We meet virtually (via Zoom – we will send you the link) for one hour, during which time you can pick my brain and I answer your questions. To make the most of our time together during this session, I’ll send you some prep work beforehand. By providing this information ahead of time, I will be able to answer all of your pre-submitted questions and whatever may come up during our discussion.

What is Zoom?
Zoom is a video conferencing system that you can use through your phone or laptop. While yes, you can use video on zoom, you also have the option of just using the voice function with no camera. You can find zoom by taking a look at Zoom.US. You can sign up for a free account if you don’t have one.
Do I call Leigh or will she call me?
We will be utilizing Zoom.US for our meeting. My team will send you a link ahead of time that you click to access our meeting.
What timezone will this be in?

You can reschedule with 48-hours (business days) of notice. If you are within 48-hours of your session, we don’t encourage rescheduling or last-minute cancellations but we understand life happens.
