Even though you may feel invisible – never forget about this…

I was reminded of a phenomenon that comes up a lot during interactions with fellow entrepreneurs and I thought I’d share it with you today – who knows, you may need to hear it right now…

So many entrepreneurs that I speak to feel like nobody is “hearing” them when them post on Social Media or that nobody is “engaging” – but that is simply a misconception…

And how many of you have experienced that new client that comes to you from seemingly nowhere?

Those clients didn’t come out of nowhere!

Many times days and weeks after I’ve posted something, a client will tell me “that is the post (or blog) that sold them!” and yet when I go back – they didn’t comment, like or share that particular post!
HERE’S THE KICKER…they saw my content. They just didn’t say anything or engage at the time. But they saw it!
The content I posted had moved them or it helped them shift or have more clarity around what they were trying to accomplish. It also made them feel like they were not alone or that I could actually help them with the problem they were having because I understood the problem (and the solution!) Last but not least – it drove them to do business with me. It’s easy to get down on yourself if you feel like you nobody is responding to your posts. Usually, we think of engagement as comments, shares, “likes” and other interactions. We often don’t think of “engagement” as views or multiple touch points or staying top of mind when it comes to judging how our marketing is doing. Yet despite that, VIEWS and VISITS are almost ALWAYS included on all our digital content analytics reports…we just don’t talk about those numbers as often…

SO DON’T GIVE UP – remember to LOVE your LURKERS.

They need to HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY and LEARN MORE about what you believe and how you can help them! Your content helps them connect, stay inspired and get to know what you’re all about. When they need your services, they’ll know who to come to. Provide them with links to your services, your offers, and your contact information often. Don’t assume that they know what you do! Give them a reason to reach out. Create a special offer once in a while and just put it out there! Think about ways that you can MAKE IT EASY for them to work with you. And just keep at it and stick to your content plan! It’ll just be a matter of time before they reach out to you when they need you the most!
